لا فرق بين ألم البشر وألم سائر الكائنات الحيّة، لأن حبّ الأم وحنانها على صغارها لا يصدران عن التفكير، بل عن الإحساس، وهذه الملكة لا توجد في الإنسان وحده، بل في أكثر الكائنات الحيّة.
