إنّ أن يؤثّر جسمٌ في آخر عن بُعدٍ عبر الفراغ، دون وساطة أيّ شيءٍ آخر يُنقل بواسطته فعلُه وقوّتُه من أحدهما إلى الآخر، أمرٌ من العبث الفادح عندي، حتى إنّي أعتقد أنّ من كان له في الأمور الفلسفيّة قدرةٌ كافيةٌ على التفكير لا يمكن أن يقع فيه أبدًا.
