كان هناك طفلٌ في الرابعة من عمره، وكان جاره رجلاً مسنًّا فقد زوجته مؤخرًا. فلما رأى الطفلُ الرجلَ يبكي، دخل إلى فناء الجار، وتسلّق حِجره، وجلس هناك صامتًا. وحين سألته أمّه عمّا قاله للجار، أجاب: «لم أقل شيئًا، بل ساعدتُه على البكاء». «حتى بعد كل هذا الزمن، لا تقول الشمسُ للأرض: أنتِ مدينةٌ لي. انظر ما يفعله حبٌّ كهذا، إنه يُنير السماء كلها».
