لا أملك إلا أن أعرب عن أملي في ألّا يضعف الإيمان بالنظام القضائي أبدًا، وأنا واثق من أنه لن يضعف، ما دمنا نسمح بمراجعة الإجراءات القضائية هنا أمام هيئة أخرى يتعذّر فيها بوضوح ممارسة أي نفوذ غير مشروع. وما دامت الحكومات حكيمة بما يكفي لترك حقوق الاستئناف إلى هيئة عليا خارج سنغافورة، فيجب أن تكون الثقة في نزاهة نظامنا القضائي أعلى. وهذا أمر بالغ الأهمية.
