لو كنت أستشير الرئيس أوباما، وهو المرشح الآن، لجعلتُ حملته بسيطة جدًا. أعد بأنني في غضون أربع سنوات سأوفّر لأكبر عدد ممكن من الأمريكيين فرصة الوصول إلى شكل من أشكال التعليم ما بعد الثانوي. وأريد أن يتخرّج المزيد منهم من المدرسة الثانوية وهم يملكون مهارات التعليم ما بعد الثانوي، وأن يتمكن المزيد منهم من الحصول عليه. فهذا هو السبيل الوحيد لسد فجوة الدخل.
