عشتُ في سعيٍ وراء رؤيا، شخصية واجتماعية. أما الشخصية: أن أعتني بما هو نبيل، وبما هو جميل، وبما هو رقيق، وأن أدع لحظات البصيرة تمنحني الحكمة في أوقات الحياة العادية. وأما الاجتماعية: أن أتخيّل المجتمع الذي ينبغي أن يُقام، حيث ينمو الأفراد بحرية، وحيث تموت الكراهية والطمع والحسد لأنه لم يعد ثمة ما يغذّيها. هذا ما أؤمن به، ولم يزعزع العالمَ، على كل ما فيه من أهوال، شيءٌ من يقيني.
