حين يزعم الإسرائيليون في الأراضي المحتلّة اليومَ أنهم مضطرّون إلى الدفاع عن أنفسهم، فإنهم يدافعون عن أنفسهم بالمعنى الذي يدافع به أيُّ محتلٍّ عسكريٍّ عن نفسه إزاء السكان الذين يسحقهم. لا يمكنك أن تدافع عن نفسك وأنت تحتلّ أرضَ غيرك عسكريًا. هذا ليس دفاعًا. سمِّه ما شئت، إنه ليس دفاعًا.
