المعرفة لا تتجزّأ. فحين يصير الناس حكماء في اتجاه واحد، فإنهم يُيسّرون على أنفسهم، لا محالة، أن يصيروا حكماء في اتجاهات أخرى. أما حين يُجزّئون المعرفة، ويركّزون على مجالهم وحده، ويزدرون غيره ويتجاهلونه، فإنهم يصيرون أقلّ حكمةً، حتى في مجالهم نفسه.
