يجب أن يكون الكاتب في قلب العمل؛ لا يمكنه أن يقف على هامشه أبدًا. عليه أن يُعرَّض للخطر بسببه، وأن تُختبر مواقفه فيه. أفضل ما كتبه أحدٌ على الإطلاق هو العمل الذي يكاد يُحرجه دائمًا.
