للكلمات قوةٌ سحرية؛ فهي قادرة على أن تمنح أعظم السعادة أو أعمق اليأس، وأن تنقل المعرفة من المعلم إلى التلميذ. بالكلمات يستطيع الخطيب أن يستميل جمهوره ويملي عليه قراراته. الكلمات قادرة على إثارة أقوى المشاعر ودفع البشر إلى أفعالهم كلها.
