إنّ الانتشار الذي لا يُقاوم لداء الكتابة يُظهر لي أنّ كلّ إنسانٍ دون استثناء يحمل في داخله كاتبًا محتملًا، حتى إنّ النوع البشري كله لهو جدير بأن ينزل إلى الشوارع ويصرخ: نحن جميعًا كتّاب! فالجميع يتوجّع من فكرة أن يتلاشى دون أن يُسمع أو يُرى في كونٍ لا يكترث، ولهذا يريد كلّ امرئ، ما دام في الوقت متّسعٌ، أن يحوّل نفسه إلى كونٍ من الكلمات. وذات صباحٍ (وسيكون ذلك قريبًا)، حين يستيقظ الجميع كتّابًا، سيكون عصر الصمم الكوني وسوء الفهم العام قد حلّ.
