صار الكثيرون منّا يلجؤون إلى الاحتماء في فقاعاتهم، سواء في أحيائهم أو في الجامعات، أو دور العبادة، وخاصّةً على منصّات التواصل الاجتماعي، محاطين بمن يشبهوننا ويشاركوننا التوجّه السياسي نفسه، فلا يُمتحن افتراضاتنا أحد. ومع الوقت نشعر بأماننا داخل فقاعاتنا إلى حدّ أننا لا نقبل إلا المعلومات التي توافق آراءنا، صحيحةً كانت أم غير صحيحة، بدلاً من أن نبني آراءنا على الأدلّة المتاحة.
