إنّ الممالك التي يرمز إليها الوحشان الثاني والثالث، الدبّ والنمر، يصفها دانيال مرةً أخرى في نبوءته الأخيرة، التي كتبها في السنة الثالثة من حكم كورش على بابل، وهي السنة التي فتح فيها فارس. فهذه النبوءة شرحٌ لرؤيا الكبش وتيس الماعز.
