الصور التي تختارها الذاكرة اعتباطية، وضيقة، ومراوغة، شأنها شأن تلك التي صاغها الخيال ثم محاها الواقع. ولا سبب يجعل مكانًا حقيقيًا، وهو موجود خارج أنفسنا، يطابق صور ذاكرتنا لا صور أحلامنا.
