أودّ ألّا تُروى الأحداثُ مباشرةً على لسان المؤلف، بل أن تُقدَّم على ألسنة من تركت فيهم أثرًا من شخصيات القصة، وأن تُعرَض مرّات عدّة ومن زوايا متعددة. وأودّ أن تبدو تلك الأحداث، في روايتهم لها، مشوّهةً قليلًا؛ فيتولّد لدى القارئ نوعٌ من الاهتمام من مجرد حاجته إلى أن يُعيد الأشياءَ إلى نصابها. فالقصة تحتاج إلى تعاونه كي تكتمل صورتها.
