وفي وسط الكل تستقر الشمس. فمن ذا الذي يضع هذا المصباح في جسم بديع جميل في مكان آخر أو أفضل من هذا المكان الذي يُنير منه الكل في آنٍ واحد؟ وحقًّا يسميها بعضهم، لا عن غير حق، السراج، ويسميها آخرون العقل، وغيرهم رائد العالم. ويسميها هرمس الثلاثي العظمة «الإله المرئي»، ويسميها سوفوكليس في «إلكترا» «الناظر إلى كل شيء». وهكذا تحكم الشمس، كأنها جالسة على عرش ملكي، أسرةَ الكواكب التي تدور من حولها.
