الكائن القادر على خلق جنسٍ من البشر خاليٍ من الحرية الحقيقية ومحكومٍ عليه حتمًا بالخطيئة، ثم يعاقبهم على ما جعلهم عليه، قد يكون قادرًا على كل شيء وعلى أشياء أخرى كثيرة، لكنه ليس ما قصدته اللغة الإنجليزية دائمًا بصفة «القدّوس».
