يبدو لي أن إهداء مكتبة هو فعل إيمان. فجمع موارد الماضي وإيداعها في مبانٍ تُحفظ فيها لينتفع بها رجالٌ ونساءٌ في المستقبل، يتطلب من الأمة أن تؤمن بثلاثة أمور: أن تؤمن بالماضي، وأن تؤمن بالمستقبل، وأن تؤمن قبل كل شيء بقدرة شعبها على أن يتعلم من الماضي، حتى يكتسب حكمةً في صنع مستقبله.
