العنف ضد المرأة لعلّه أخزى انتهاكات حقوق الإنسان، ولعلّه أكثرها انتشاراً. فهو لا يعرف حدوداً جغرافية ولا ثقافية ولا طبقية. وما دام قائماً، لا يحقّ لنا أن ندّعي أننا نُحرز تقدماً حقيقياً نحو المساواة والتنمية والسلام.
