أوّلًا تخمّن. لا تضحك، فهذه أهمّ خطوة. ثم تستخلص النتائج المترتبة على تخمينك. ثم تقارن هذه النتائج بالتجربة. فإن خالفت التجربة، كان تخمينك خاطئًا. في هذه العبارة البسيطة يكمن مفتاح العلم. لا يهمّ مدى جمال تخمينك، ولا مدى ذكائك، ولا مَن تكون. فإن خالف التجربة فهو خاطئ. وهذا كل ما في الأمر.
