لا توجد تجربة أشدّ إثارة للاهتمام من تلك التي نخوضها الآن، والتي نرجو أن تنتهي بترسيخ حقيقة أن الإنسان يمكن أن يُحكم بالعقل والحقيقة. ولذلك ينبغي أن يكون هدفنا الأول أن نفتح أمامه كل طرق الوصول إلى الحقيقة. وأنجعُ ما وُجد حتى الآن لذلك هو حرية الصحافة. ولهذا فهي أول ما يُغلقه أولئك الذين يخشون تقصّي أفعالهم.
