لكنّ العواطف الزائفة وحدها هي السائدة اليوم، خاصةً في الحب. لقد عُلِّمنا جميعاً أن نرتاب عاطفياً في كلّ أحد، من الآباء فما دونهم، أو فوقهم. لا تأتمن أحداً على مشاعرك الحقيقية، إن كانت لديك مشاعر: هذا هو شعار العصر. ائتمنه على مالك، إن شئت، لكن لا تأتمنه أبداً على مشاعرك، فهو حتماً سيدوس عليها.
