قبل أن أفحص هذا بعناية وأتقصّى نتائجه، أريد أن أتوقف هنيهة عند تأمّل الله، وأتدبّر صفاته فيّ، وأبصر جمال نوره الذي لا حدّ له وأُعجب به وأُجلّه، بقدر ما تسمح به بصيرتي المشوّشة. وإذ أؤمن بأن السعادة العليا في الحياة الأخرى تقوم كلها على التأمّل في عظمة الإله، أجد أنني أستطيع بتأمّل أدنى منه من النوع نفسه أن أنال أعظم فرح متاح في هذه الحياة.
