يتجاوز الحب بكثير الشخص الجسدي للمحبوب، فيجد معناه الأعمق في كينونته الروحية، في جوهره الداخلي. أما كونه حاضرًا أو غائبًا، بل كونه على قيد الحياة أصلًا، فإنه يفقد بطريقة ما أهميته.
