لكنّ هؤلاء القلة هم ملح الأرض؛ فلولاهم لصارت الحياة البشرية بِركةً راكدة. فهم لا يجلبون الأشياء الطيبة التي لم تكن موجودة من قبل فحسب، بل يُبقون الحياة حيّةً في الأشياء القائمة أصلًا.
