حين يصاب الناس بالإحباط، فذلك لأنهم يشعرون بأنهم يعيشون في واقع يحرمهم الكرامة، ويحرمهم العدل، ويحرمهم حرية تحقيق كامل إمكاناتهم. وهذا عندي هو جوهر الصحوة العربية. وأرى أنها شملت كل بلد، ولذلك كنت مؤيدًا لها دون أي تحفّظ.
