كانت أمريكا مموّلة للديكتاتوريات النفطية. عاملنا كل هذه البلدان كأنها محطات وقود كبيرة: محطة ليبيا، محطة العراق، محطة إيران، محطة مصر، محطة سوريا. وكل ما طلبناه منها ثلاثة أشياء: أن تُبقي أكفّها مفتوحة، وأسعارك منخفضة، وألّا تُزعج إسرائيل كثيرًا، فتفعل بعدها ما تشاء بشعبك.
