نعم، ويجب! وتُختتم هذه الصياغة الجديدة لتصوّر [جوزيف ستالين] بالعبارات نفسها: «هذه هي عموماً السمات المميزة لتصوّر لينين للثورة البروليتارية.» وفي غضون عام واحد نسب ستالين إلى [فلاديمير] لينين تصوّرين متناقضين تماماً لمسألة الاشتراكية الجوهرية. فالصيغة الأولى تمثّل التقليد الحقيقي للحزب، أما الثانية فلم تتشكّل في ذهن ستالين إلا بعد وفاة لينين، في خضم الصراع ضد «التروتسكية».
