ليست حكمة الجماهير حكيمةً دائماً. يمكنك أن تطرح كثيراً من الأمور للتصويت؛ لو طُرحت قوانين تحريم الزواج بين الأعراق المختلفة للتصويت لمرّت بسهولة تامة. إمّا أن يُخلق الناس جميعاً متساوين، وإمّا لا يكونون كذلك. فإمّا أن تؤمن بالمبدأ الأصلي لأمريكا، وإمّا لا تؤمن به.
