إنّ الفرد حين يسعى إلى مصلحته الخاصة يحقق في الغالب مصلحة المجتمع على نحوٍ أنجع مما لو قصد تحقيقها قصدًا. ولم أعرف قط خيرًا كثيرًا صنعه أولئك الذين ادّعوا التجارة لأجل الصالح العام.
