هكذا أثبتت التجربة دائماً أنّ التعليم، كما الدين، والأرستقراطية، كما الديمقراطية والملكية، كلٌّ منها على حدة، عاجزٌ تماماً عن كبح أهواء البشر، وعن حفظ حكمٍ مستقرّ، وصون حياة الناس وحرّياتهم وممتلكاتهم... الدين والخرافة والأيمان والتعليم والقوانين، كلُّها تنهار أمام الأهواء والمصالح والسلطة، ولا يُقاوَم هذا كلّه إلا بالأهواء والمصالح والسلطة.
