لأننا سعينا إلى طمس الشر الماضي، رغم أنه ما زال قائمًا، عجزنا عن كبح الشر الجديد في زماننا. الشرّ الذي لا يُكبح يتعاظم، والشرّ الذي يُتسامح معه يسمّم النظام كله. ولأننا تسامحنا مع شرور الماضي والحاضر، تسمّمت العلاقات الدولية، وغاب عنها القانون والعدل.
