حين نتكلم عن معرفة الله، ينبغي أن يُفهم ذلك في ضوء القدرات المحدودة للإنسان على الإدراك. فالله، كما هو في حقيقته، أبعد بكثير من أن يتخيله الإنسان، فضلاً عن أن يدركه. لم يكشف الله من ذاته إلا بقدر ما تستطيع عقولنا أن تتصوره، وبقدر ما تحتمله ضعفُ طبيعتنا.
