أن نستخلص من الظواهر مبدأين أو ثلاثة من مبادئ الحركة العامة، ثم نبيّن لنا بعد ذلك كيف تنشأ خصائص الأجسام كلها وأفعالها عن تلك المبادئ الظاهرة، لكان ذلك خطوةً عظيمة جدًا في الفلسفة.
