أخفق النموذج الاجتماعي للبلشفية، وسيخفق أي نموذج يُنكر الحقوق الفردية والحرية الفكرية وحرية الأحزاب السياسية المتنافسة. فمن دون هذه الحريات والحقوق، لا يبقى للناس دافع إلى العمل. ولا يمكن لمثل هذا النظام أن يستمر، لا سيما في ظل الثورة التقنية لعصر المعلومات.
