أمةٌ لا تدعم مسرحها وتشجّعه تكون، إن لم تكن ميتةً، فهي تحتضر؛ كما أن المسرح الذي لا يلتقط بالضحك والدموع نبضَ المجتمع والتاريخ، ودراما شعبه، والألوان الحقيقية للمشهد الروحي والطبيعي، ليس له حقٌّ في أن يسمّي نفسه مسرحًا، بل هو مجرّد مكانٍ للتسلية.
