قضيتُ ذلك الصباح خمس ساعات أحاول كتابة أغنية ذات معنى وقيمة، ثم استسلمتُ أخيرًا واستلقيت. وعندها جاءتني "Nowhere Man" كلمات ولحنًا، كاملةً بكل ما فيها، وأنا مستلقٍ... كتابة الأغنية عندي هي إخراج الشيطان من داخلي. إنها أشبه بمسّ؛ تحاول النوم فلا تدعك الأغنية تنام، فعليك أن تنهض وتحوّلها إلى شيء، ثم يُسمح لك عندها بالنوم.
