ليس ثمّة ضمانٌ لخلود الروح البشرية في الزمن، أي لبقائها أبداً بعد الموت؛ بل إنّ هذا الافتراض، على أيّ حال، يخفق تماماً في تحقيق الغاية التي وُضع من أجلها دائماً. أو هل يُحَلّ لغزٌ ما لأنني سأبقى إلى الأبد؟ أليست الحياة الأبدية نفسها لغزاً لا يقلّ عن حياتنا الحالية؟
