قد تُخطئ الحكومات، وقد يُخطئ الرؤساء، لكنّ دانتي الخالد يخبرنا أنّ العدل الإلهي يزن ذنوب القُساة وذنوب الرحماء بميزانين مختلفين. والأفضل أن تكون للحكومة هفوات عابرة، ما دامت تعيش بروح الإحسان، من أن تكون لها غفلة دائمة، متجمّدة في جليد لامبالاتها.
