معظم المهاجرين غير الشرعيين ليسوا بطبعهم خارجين على القانون؛ معظمهم يبحث عن فرصة للعيش بكرامة. ومع ذلك، يجب أن نواصل ثني الناس عن الهجرة غير الشرعية، لأنها تُضعف السيطرة على حدودنا... والأشدّ من ذلك أنها تُنصف العاملين الكادحين الذين يلتزمون بالقواعد وينتظرون دورهم للقدوم إلى الولايات المتحدة. لذلك يجب أن نُطبّق قوانيننا، لكن بعدلٍ وإنصاف.
