التربية هي عينها مساعدة الطفل على تحقيق إمكاناته. وضدّها التلقين، القائم على انعدام الإيمان بنموّ الإمكانات، وعلى الاعتقاد بأن الطفل لن يكون على حق إلا إذا غرس فيه الكبار ما يرونه مستحسنًا، وكبتوا ما يرونه مستهجنًا.
