لكي نقف في الوسط ونربح الانتخابات، يجب أن نتولى زمام الأجندة السياسية. ولا يتحقق ذلك إلا بألّا نُغلَب في الجدال مع منتقدينا. يشكون من أنني أهاجم حججهم بقسوة. لكنّ الأفكار الخاطئة يجب أن تُواجَه قبل أن تؤثر في الرأي العام وتُحدث المشكلات. ومن يحاول أن يكون ذكيًّا على حساب الحكومة لا ينبغي أن يشكو إن جاءت ردودي حادّةً بقدر حدّة انتقاداته.
