تُقرأ كلُّ صورةٍ بوصفها ظهورًا خاصًّا لمرجعها؛ فعصرُ التصوير يوافق تمامًا انفجارَ الخاص في العام، أو بالأحرى خلقَ قيمةٍ اجتماعيةٍ جديدة، هي علانيةُ الخاص: إذ يُستهلك الخاصُّ بوصفه كذلك، علنًا.
