الوجودُ مرغوبٌ لأنّه عينُ الجمال، والجمالُ مَحبوبٌ لأنّه وجود. نملكُ الجمالَ حين نكون أوفياءَ لكينونتنا؛ والقبحُ في أن ننحرف إلى نظامٍ آخر. وإذ نعرف أنفسنا نكون جميلين، وفي جهلنا بأنفسنا نكون قبيحين.
