لم يكن ثمة سوى الساحة الواسعة، تتناثر فيها أقمار مصابيح الشوارع الخافتة، وقوسٌ حجريٌّ مهيب يتراجع في الضباب كأنه يسند السماء الكئيبة، ويحمي تحته لهيبَ القبر الخافت الوحيد لـ«الجندي المجهول»، الذي بدا في وسط الليل والوحشة كآخر قبرٍ للإنسانية.
