يقول الناس أحياناً إنني خرقتُ قسم الكتمان، وهو أحد الاتهامات الأولى الموجهة إليّ. لكن هذا سوء فهم جوهري، فليس هناك قسم كتمان للعاملين في أجهزة الاستخبارات. ما يُطلب منك هو توقيع اتفاقية مدنية تُعرف بالنموذج الفيدرالي 312، ومضمونها أنك إن كشفت معلومات سرية، فيحق لهم مقاضاتك، وأن يفعلوا كذا وكذا. وأنت تخاطر بدخول السجن.
