ينبغي لا أمريكا وحدها، بل جميع الدول، أن تفكّر معًا في كيفية توظيف القوة الهائلة للقوة العظمى الوحيدة المتبقية. نحن بحاجة إلى قيادة تقوم على الشراكة، قيادة توحّد الأمم وتتيح حلّ مشكلات الكوكب معًا. وإلا فسنشهد «تدافعًا جديدًا نحو الذهب» من قوة عظمى تريد أن تحقق مزايا أكبر، وأن تتبوأ لنفسها موقعًا جديدًا تمامًا. وذلك سيقودنا إلى يوتوبيا منحرفة.
