لذا لا ينبغي أن نظنّ أنّ الرغبة مكبوتة، للسبب البسيط، وهو أنّ القانون هو ما يُكوّن الرغبة والنقص الذي تقوم عليه. فحيث توجد الرغبة توجد علاقة السلطة من قبل: وهم، إذن، أن نستنكر هذه العلاقة بوصفها قمعًا يُمارَس لاحقًا.
