الفقر، وهو أكبر سبب لمعاناة البشر على هذا الكوكب، تزيده سوءاً الحروبُ والتنافسُ على الموارد والظلمُ، بل حتى الركود الاقتصادي العالمي وتغيّر المناخ. ولا يمكن التصدّي لأمراض كالإيدز والسلّ والملاريا دون موارد كافية. فكما ترى، كلّ شيء مترابط. ولمعالجة أيّ سبب رئيسي لمعاناة البشر، علينا أن نعمل معاً على جبهات عديدة.
