لكي يشترك أفراد الجماعة في قيمٍ كثيرة، لا بدّ أن تتاح لجميعهم فرصةٌ متكافئة لأن يتلقّوا من غيرهم ويأخذوا عنهم. ولا بدّ من تنوّعٍ واسعٍ في المشاريع والتجارب المشتركة. وإلّا فإنّ الأثر الذي يُربّي بعضَ الناس ليكونوا أسيادًا، يُربّي آخرين ليكونوا عبيدًا.
